You
can get involved by attending our monthly meetings; joining PFLAG;
writing letters to your representatives and educating yourself. Contact
us for more volunteer opportunities.

: Are gays and lesbians welcome at meetings ?
PFLAG meetings are open to everyone. Gay, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people are especially welcome.
Q3 : How do I reach PFLAG chapters in other cities ?
PFLAG
has over 500 chapter/affiliates worldwide. A complete list of contacts
is available by attending our meetings; calling our helpline (415-921-8850)
or via PFLAG National.

: Are there support groups for children of gays and lesbians ?
COLAGE,
Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere is a group run by and for
children of all ages. There is a local San
Francisco Chapter.

: Are there support groups for spouses of gays and lesbians ?
The
Straight Spouse Support
Network is available in the San Francisco Bay Area. Call Amity Pierce

Q6 : Where do you meet ?
We
meet at St. Franciso Lutheran Church, 152 Church St. near Market on
the Second Sunday of each month from 2 til 4 pm. Check other
chapter locations to see if there is one closer to you.
Q7 : Where can I find literature ?
PFLAG
publishes a wide variety of literature ranging from "Why is My Child
Gay?" to "Read This Before Coming Out to Your Parents". This is available
on the internet;
at our monthly meetings, or by calling PFLAG-SF at 415-981-8850. Books,
videos and audio cassettes are also available for loan at our meetings
or for sale at A Different Light
Bookstore.
Q8 : Can I get PFLAG parents to speak to my group ?
Our
chapter has a speaker's bureau and can usually fill requests. Call
us at 415.921.8850
or email us 1-2 months in advance.
